“Gof'nn hupadgh Shub-Niggurath" The Birth of Satyr Curtis

Gof'nn hupadgh Shub-Niggurath

"gof'nn hupadgh Shub-Niggurath" is the name given to the favored, once-human worshipers of Shub-Niggurath. When the deity deems a worshiper to be most worthy, a special ceremony is held in which the Black Goat of the Woods swallows the initiate through her womb and then rebirths the cultist as a transformed satyr-like being. A changed worshiper is also endowed with immortal life. Blessed of Shub-Niggurath
This subject contains information from the Expanded Cthulhu Mythos, and not based on H.P. Lovecraft's works directly. The Young of the Black Goat or Gof'nn hupadgh Shub-Niggurath, also known as Blessed of Shub-Niggurath or goblins, Goat-Faced People, Satyrs, Spawn of Shub-Niggurath, are a fictional race from Ramsey Campbell's 1964 short story "The Moon-Lens". They were expanded on by Chaosiumin 1994 for their Call of Cthulhu  role-playing game.

Servants and priests of Shub-Niggurath, the Gof’nn Hupadgh are a mutant race, resembling satyrs of myth. Indeed, historically, they have been associated or mistaken for the hedonistic pagan god Pan.
